Klaus Krumpholz is Vice President German operations for Connexis, based in Munich. Mr. Krumpholz graduated from the Technical University of Munich, with a degree in electrical engineering. After starting his career in development engineering and sales with Kathrein and Sony Europe, he joined Siemens AG in 1995. While there, he occupied a number of management positions. At Siemens Mobile Phones, he was responsible for Product Management of Wireless Modules, and played a key role in the acquisition of phone projects and project execution for a major automobile manufacturer. He also established and ran a project to develop an aftermarket business for navigation systems, and contributed to winning head unit and navigation business with other OEMs.
In 2000, Mr. Krumpholz joined the Motorola Telematics Communication Group in an Engineering Management position. He built up the Systems Engineering team for Motorola in Munich, and was responsible for creating all the product specifications for OEM telematics program. With the takeover by Continental Automotive Systems he moved into a role as a Business Development Manager. Among his numerous achievements there, he created the Wireless Gateway product concept, and launched the first predevelopment and concept engineering activities, bringing them to the stage of commercial quotation.
